True Tales from the Urban Fringe

Christy Brigham was raised in the pea and lentil capital of the world where she learned to love nature. She studied science at The Evergreen State College in Washington and received her PhD in ecology from the University of California-Davis. Christy has worked for the NPS in the Santa Monica Mountains for the past 12 years.

Dr. Brigham will provide an evening of science storytelling about biodiversity conservation in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area including true tales of why the wrentit won’t cross the road, how our coyotes prefer fruit to cats and dogs, and how our endangered microflora is impacted by invasive weeds, wrapping up with ten simple things you can do in your yard to preserve our biodiversity hotspot.

Purchase a passport to the series for $100 members or $140 for non-members.
